ARCH3D Architects is an architectural + interior based company, founded in 2014. We are dedicated to designing SUSTAINABLE, INNOVATIVE & TIMELESS architecture to suit our clients individual needs. We have Studios in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) and Johannesburg, allowing us to cater for clients along the Garden Route and Inland areas.
Each project is unique to its design challenges and our aim is to deliver excellence in design. We understand the importance of having exceptional knowledge of the variety of building systems, understanding of design trends and design solutions which has allowed us to meet the changing needs of the industry.
Our team consists of young dynamic professionals dedicated in providing quality and excellence
who play a vital role in maintaining the high standard of work that we set. In addition, we share collaborative relationships with several leading professionals including quantity surveyors, engineers, developers and construction companies to keep up with the latest trends in our industry.
We believe that all designs should be sustainable and energy efficient. Our work is grounded in passive design principles which allows for managing heat gain and heat loss which aligns with our environmentally friendly ethos.
We focus on designing innovative architecture by exploring new forms, pushing the boundaries and evolving with technology without compromising on the functionality of the spaces.
We create buildings that respond positively to their greater surroundings. When dealing with the micro scale of our buildings we strive to create a seamless transition between the interior to exterior.

Our understanding of design trends, extensive knowledge of building technology and on-site experience has ensured great success on our residential projects.
ARCH3D delivers innovative design solutions aimed at maximizing the clients marketing value and brand. We take great care in designing spaces that can work functionally and efficiently but still maintaining a strong visual element to the design which aligns with the brand image of our clients. Our commercial work focuses on boutique commercial projects.
ARCH3D believes in the power of great design to enhance the educational experience for the children and staff that utilize these buildings. We take great care in working closely with the teachers, children & educational specialists of these institutions, in order, to meet the needs and ethos of each school.
Founder and managing director of Arch3D Studios (Pty) Ltd. David Hollis obtained his Masters of Architecture at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, Port Elizabeth.
David has a passion for creating sustainable, innovative, contextual designs and thrives on the conceptual challenges that each project brings to the studio.
He understands the value of maintaining a clear and free communication channel between the client, architect and builder throughout each project.
David is a registered member of SACAP, GIFA, SAIA and Green Building Council of South Africa.
